Inflammation from emotional trauma that interferes with life

When I bought a cactus and brought it home, the thorn of the cactus got stuck in my thumb and it hurt.
Even after three days, the sting was still painful and I could no longer open the lid of the jar, which I had been able to open easily.
This means that the thorns have stuck in my fingers, causing inflammation and pain that has not gone away and is interfering with my life.

When you see comments from various people on social networking sites, etc., and you get angry because of comments directed at you, it is the same as “a thorn in my finger”. Maybe the person doesn’t mean to hurt you like a cactus, but the thorn sticks in your heart when you unexpectedly see the comment and it becomes inflamed in your brain. Then the pain of being reminded of the comment repeatedly makes you angry, scared, and so on. And it can interfere with your life, preventing you from doing things that you used to be able to do easily.

Until now, it has been thought that blaming emotional trauma is just an excuse. But the latest research shows that “latent chronic inflammation” is a cause of cognitive decline.

Studies have shown that latent chronic inflammation is associated with metabolic syndrome, obesity, and diabetes, and have revealed that cognitive decline can occur, including the following: memory impairment, loss of speech, apraxia (doing things one shouldn’t), agnosia (inability to recognize objects and faces), and executive dysfunction (inability to set goals, plan processes, and act effectively).

Because of latent chronic inflammation, so you think, “I’m going to go on a diet today,” but you forget that resolution because you have memory impairment. Because of apraxia, you end up eating things you shouldn’t, and because of agnosia, you don’t properly recognize the size of your body. Furthermore, executive dysfunction prevents people from taking action toward their goals, and this is thought to be the cause of metabolic syndrome, obesity, and diabetes.

Because of latent chronic inflammation and cognitive dysfunction, it becomes extremely difficult to do things that normal people can do.

It is not that they cannot control their body shape because their willpower is weak, but only that the latent chronic inflammation is causing cognitive dysfunction, which is interfering with their lives.

The reason why people who have suffered from traumatic stress tend to forget things more often, cannot clean up the room, cannot go outside to communicate well with others, and cannot continue their studies or work is because the traumatic stress has caused latent chronic inflammation and cognitive dysfunction.

Traumatic stress is not only anger, sadness, and pain, but it also interferes with our lives.
